That’s not irony.
Sorry, I'm wearing mittens.
I love making, I love doing. I love being to the full, I love everything which is not sitting and watching and copying and dead at heart.
Anonymous asked: What kind of books do you like/dislike? Do you like traditional "classics"?
I have a very complicated relationship with ‘classics’, but I hope to read many of them in my lifetime. I find contemporary literature more of a gamble, but also more useful to me as a writer.
As for kinds of books, I think that’s irrelevant. There are many books I feel like I should have liked, but didn’t. I don’t like airport reads or any book given to me as a gift by someone who hasn’t read it first. Other than that, I suppose I’ll try anything.
I feel like I’m failing at this, so draw your own conclusions from the five books I read this month: Mrs Dalloway - Virginia Woolf, The Hours - Michael Cunningham, The Unconsoled - Kazuo Ishiguro, Television - Jean-Philippe Toussaint, and my current read - Infinite Jest - David Foster Wallace.
Just came home to my messy as always apartment to find broken glass and trash everywhere. Thanks kitties. My phone is broken and won’t turn on, and I’m poor and hungry and sepia tone sad. Complain complain complain.
This morning I began translating harry potter in french, back to english. Il est très difficile!
Then I kayaked errywhere and saw all the cute aminals and got a baby sunburn on my face and ate delicious cuban food and drank cocktails. I do it pretty okay.
